What is FORM? A Guide to FORM Smart Swim Goggles

FORM Smart Swim 2 goggles – Endurance Update

Ever lose count of your lengths, or wonder what your pace was on that last 100? FORM puts your swim data right inside your goggles, and it's one of the swim tech brands we carry at Endurance Update. Here's what FORM is and how the three Smart Swim 2 models compare.

What is FORM?

FORM is a Vancouver-based sports technology company founded by Dan Eisenhardt, a former competitive swimmer. FORM Smart Swim goggles use an augmented reality display to show real-time metrics like time, distance and pace in your line of sight, so you don't have to stop and check a watch.

What every Smart Swim 2 can do

  • An in-goggle display of time, distance and pace that you can customize.
  • Automatic stroke and rest detection.
  • Post-swim review in the FORM app, with syncing to Apple Health, Strava and more.
  • Open-water use, with optional GPS distance and pace when paired with an Apple Watch or Garmin, and SwimStraight, a built-in digital compass to help you stay on course.
  • No subscription required for these core features.

FORM lists its goggles as race approved by World Triathlon, USA Triathlon, British Triathlon, the PTO and Supertri.

The three models

  • Smart Swim 2 LT ($149) is the essential FORM experience, without heart rate. It's the easiest way into smart swimming.
  • Smart Swim 2 ($199) adds an integrated heart rate monitor, extended strap mounts for stability, and FORM's own eye seals for comfort.
  • Smart Swim 2 PRO ($259) adds Corning Gorilla Glass 3 lenses, inside and out, for scratch and damage resistance. It comes with anti-fog spray to apply before each swim.

Which one should I get?

  • New to smart goggles or on a budget: Smart Swim 2 LT.
  • Want heart rate without a chest strap: Smart Swim 2.
  • Swim a lot and want the most durable lenses: Smart Swim 2 PRO.
