What is Bambū Werx?
Bambū Werx is a U.S.-based maker of sustainable sports apparel, led by founder Larry Upton. Its socks, caps and headwear use bamboo-based fabrics. The brand says bamboo, processed correctly, keeps its natural antimicrobial and hypoallergenic properties, which means less odor and less skin irritation than many synthetic fabrics. Bambū Werx also avoids plastic in its products and packaging where it can.
Socks
- Bamboo Performance Socks ($19) are a mid-calf sock built with bamboo and durable recycled nylon, for running, cycling and triathlon. Available in Vertical Stripe/Logo and Horizontal Stripe styles.
- Bamboo No-Show Socks – Pro ($15) are designed to stay up and stay out of sight.
Socks come in S/M, M/L and XL.
Headwear
- Running Caps ($36) are lightweight, with large laser-perforated vents and a vented brim for airflow. Colors are Black, White, Pink and Blue.
- bambū Bands ($16) are thin, wicking headbands that fit under a cycling helmet, in S, M and L.
- bambū Buffs come in Performance ($18) for warmer weather and Protection ($19). Use them as a neck gaiter, face cover or head covering.
- bambū Beanies ($36) are made of 95% bamboo, so they're soft and don't itch.
